Lemon grass is a grass-like plant with long, slender foliage that reaches a height of around 2-3 feet. The hue of the leaves is grayish-green. Some bacteria and yeast may be inhibited by the use of emongrass. Lemongrass also contains compounds that are thought to ease pain and swelling, lower fever, enhance blood sugar and cholesterol levels, stimulate the uterus and menstrual flow, and have antioxidant benefits.
