The skin of the yellow pitahaya is bright yellow and thickly scaly. The red and pink varieties have smaller fruits. The yellow pitahaya has a white flesh with many little black edible seeds. The flesh of this pitahaya variety is more juicy and sweeter than the flesh of other pitahaya kinds.
